How to convert iPhone HEIC photos to JPG
Make iPhone photos easier to share using local HEIC conversion, batch downloads and optional resizing.
Use JPG when the receiving app needs it
If a website or app rejects an HEIC photo, converting a copy to JPG can solve the format mismatch. Open HEIC to JPG below. The output format is already selected, and the file content stays on your device during conversion.
Choose photos and settings
Add one photo or a batch of up to 20, within the displayed file and batch limits. Start with JPG quality 90. Leave Automatic size selected for large photos, or choose a smaller longest side when the destination needs a smaller picture. The HEIC decoder loads when it is needed, so the first conversion may take longer.
Download and check the result
Press Convert image, then download each result or use the ZIP download for a batch. Open the downloaded JPG before sending it. Compare the dimensions and file size shown in the result. Your original HEIC file is not changed.
What is not carried over
The converter saves the primary still image. Live Photo video, additional images, source EXIF, GPS and HDR information are not preserved. Colors may look different from a source shown in a wide-gamut or HDR photo app. Keep the original for archival or editing work.
When conversion fails
Confirm that you have an actual HEIC or HEIF file, not a cloud placeholder or a renamed file of another type. Try a single smaller photo and close other memory-heavy tabs. Some file variants may not decode. Selecting PNG instead changes the output format but cannot fix an unreadable input.
