1. Files you process stay on your device
When you choose or drop a file into a tool, the file is read and processed locally inside your web browser using Web Workers and WebAssembly software components (such as libheif, AVIF and WebP codecs, pdf-lib, FFmpeg and lamejs). The contents of your files, their filenames, previews and results are not uploaded to us, are not stored on our servers, are not shared with advertisers or other third parties by the Service, and are not used to train artificial-intelligence models. We do not have access to them and therefore cannot view, recover, restore or delete them.
Working files and results are held in your browser’s memory for the current session. Clearing files, refreshing or closing the page ends the tool’s access to them. This is not a guarantee of forensic erasure from your device, browser recovery data, swap files or operating-system memory. Browser extensions, device software, security software and cloud backups on your device are outside our control, and to the maximum extent permitted by law we are not responsible for how they handle your files.
2. Downloads and metadata
Results are created locally and saved wherever your browser stores downloads. Your originals are not modified. The image tools do not intentionally copy source EXIF, GPS, DPI or similar metadata, although encoders may add their own technical metadata. Audio exports do not copy source tags, cover art or chapters. PDF tools may retain metadata, hidden content or identifying information contained in copied pages and resources. None of the tools is a redaction or metadata-removal tool: visible names, faces, text, spoken words and other personal information in your content remain in the results. You are responsible for reviewing results before sharing them. The audio tools do not request access to, or record from, your microphone.
3. Software downloaded to your browser
To work, the tools download their processing software (for example, image and PDF codecs and, on first use of the audio tools, roughly 8 to 31 MB of audio software, depending on compression) from our own website. These files contain no information about you. Your browser may cache them so that later visits load faster; you can clear this cache at any time in your browser settings. These requests are handled like any other page request described in section 4.
4. Website requests and server logs
The Service consists of static files delivered by our hosting and content-delivery providers. As with any website, when your browser requests a page or file, those providers automatically receive and record standard technical request information, such as your IP address, browser user-agent string, the requested URL, the referring page, the date and time of the request and the response status. This information is processed to deliver the website, keep it secure, prevent abuse and diagnose technical problems. We do not use these logs to identify individual visitors, build profiles or advertise to you. These logs never contain the contents of the files you process.
Request logs are retained by the relevant provider under its own retention schedule and privacy practices, which we do not fully control. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for the independent practices of hosting, network or security providers.
6. Advertising
No advertisements are currently served on the Service. The website contains a Google AdSense account verification tag and an ads.txt file in preparation for possible future advertising; these do not load advertising scripts or set cookies on their own.
If advertising is enabled in future, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to serve, personalize, measure and protect advertisements, which may involve information about your visits to this and other websites. Before any advertising starts, we will update this policy to describe the providers and practices involved and, where required (for example, for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), we will request your consent through a consent-management mechanism, and optional advertising cookies will remain off until you choose. Advertising will never receive the contents of files you process. You can learn more at Google’s advertising technologies page and manage Google ad settings at My Ad Center.
7. Search-engine notifications
We may use the IndexNow protocol, which involves a verification key file on our website, to notify participating search engines when our pages change. This process concerns only our own page addresses and involves no information about visitors.
8. Support messages
If you email us, we receive your email address, any name you provide, the content of your message and any attachments you choose to send. We use this information only to respond, investigate problems, handle privacy requests, protect our legal rights and keep reasonable records of correspondence. Email is processed by our email service provider.
Files attached to emails are not processed locally: the local-processing protections described in section 1 do not apply to them. Please do not send passwords, identity documents, private photos or other sensitive files. Where possible, describe the problem (the error message, file format, approximate size and browser version) or share a non-sensitive sample you have permission to share. We do not add correspondents to any marketing list.
9. Purposes and legal bases
We process the limited information described above to provide and secure the Service, respond to requests, resolve disputes, enforce our Terms of Use and comply with legal obligations. Where the law requires a legal basis (for example, under the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation), we rely on our legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving a free website (where not overridden by your rights), on taking steps you request, on compliance with legal obligations, and on consent where consent is required.
10. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose the limited information we hold only to service providers that help us operate the Service (such as hosting, content-delivery, security and email providers); where required by law, regulation, court order or a valid request from authorities; where reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of the developer, our users or others, or to investigate fraud, abuse or security incidents; or in connection with a transfer, sale or reorganization of the Service, subject to this policy.
11. International processing
Our providers may process information in countries other than yours, including countries whose data-protection laws differ from those of your country. Where the law requires it, appropriate safeguards are applied to such transfers. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we do not promise that information will remain in any particular country.
12. Retention
Because files are processed locally, we retain no copies of them. Support correspondence is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary to handle your request, maintain records, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations, after which it is deleted. Server logs are retained by our hosting providers according to their own schedules.
13. Security
We use reasonable measures appropriate to the limited information we handle, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections. However, no website, device, network, email service or method of transmission is completely secure. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we cannot guarantee absolute security and are not responsible for unauthorized access that is beyond our reasonable control, including access through your own device, browser or accounts. This does not limit any obligation that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
14. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of or a copy of personal information we hold about you; to restrict or object to its processing; to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting earlier lawful processing); and to complain to your local data-protection authority. Residents of certain US states may also have rights to know, delete and correct personal information and to opt out of its sale or sharing; we do not sell or share personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
To make a request, email apps.jabbari@gmail.com with the subject “ConvitAll privacy request.” We may ask for reasonable information to verify the request and will respond within the time required by applicable law. Because we hold no copies of your processed files and do not link server logs to individuals, we may be unable to locate information about you. Requests concerning information controlled independently by a hosting or email provider may need to be directed to that provider.
15. Children
The Service is a general-audience tool and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16, or another higher age, where applicable law requires). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it as required by law.
16. Third-party websites
The Service may link to external websites and services, which have their own privacy practices. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for the content, policies or practices of any third-party website or service.
17. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example when features, providers or legal requirements change, including before any advertising or analytics is introduced. The “Last updated” date above shows the latest revision. Where the law requires, we will give notice of material changes or obtain consent. Your continued use of the Service after an update takes effect means you acknowledge the updated policy.
