How to convert TIFF to JPG
- Choose your files. Add TIFF images. You can select up to 20 files per batch, within the displayed size limits.
- Set the result. JPG is already selected. Adjust dimensions and, for JPG, WebP or AVIF, quality. Check the transparency background where available.
- Convert and download. Download each result or the batch ZIP. Compare file size and appearance before replacing any original.

When a TIFF is too heavy to share
Scanners, document archives, fax software and print workflows often save TIFF because it can store images with little or no compression. That makes files large: an uncompressed full-page scan can easily run to tens of megabytes. JPG is the practical format for emailing, uploading to a form or viewing on a phone, and a converted scan is usually a fraction of the original size.
Multi-page TIFF files
A single TIFF can hold several pages, such as a multi-page scan or fax. ConvitAll converts one page at a time: when you add a TIFF, a TIFF page box appears in the settings, and you enter the page number you want. To get every page, convert the file again for each page number. If you need all pages in a single document, export them as images and combine them with the images to PDF tool.
What may change
RGB, grayscale and commonly compressed TIFFs are supported; less common variants can still fail to decode. Any transparency in the TIFF is filled with your selected background color. DPI information, which print software uses to decide physical size, is not copied, and neither are color profiles or other tags. For text-heavy scans, use quality 90 or above so small print stays legible.
Converting TIFF on Windows or Mac
Windows Paint opens TIFF files and can save a JPEG copy with File > Save as; for multi-page files it typically shows only the first page. On a Mac, Preview displays every page in the sidebar: select the page, choose File > Export and set Format to JPEG. Menu names may vary.

Questions and answers
How do I convert page 3 of a multi-page TIFF?
Add the TIFF, then type 3 in the TIFF page box that appears in the settings and convert. Only that page is exported. Repeat with another page number for each page you need; the original file is not changed.
Will my scan still print at the same size?
Not necessarily. The DPI value that tells print software how large to print is not copied into the JPG. The pixel dimensions are kept unless you resize, so set the print size or DPI in your printing app if it matters.
Why did my TIFF fail to convert?
TIFF has many variants. Common RGB, grayscale and compressed files work, but unusual combinations of color modes, bit depths or compression can fail. Re-saving the scan as a standard RGB TIFF in your scanning software usually solves it.
Which JPG quality is best for scanned documents?
Use 90 or higher for pages with small text, signatures or fine lines, and check the result zoomed in. Photos and artwork usually look fine at 85. If the file must fit a size limit, reduce the longest side before lowering quality much.
